At our office, we strive to stay up to date on the latest trends, environments, and especially the newest technology. In the world today, it is essential that dental offices utilize the latest technologies so we can get the best results possible for our patients. With our patients in mind, Green Leaf Dental Care stays on top of new technology, such as our iTero Digital Impression Scanner, our advanced Panoramic Imaging System, Intra-Oral Cameras, and our new CareStack dental software.
iTero Digital Impression Scanner
The iTero Scanner is a state-of-the-art technology that allows our staff to take accurate 3D digital images of your mouth. This technology is quick and accurate, allowing maximum comfort for our patients. The iTero Scanner eliminates the need to take impressions with putty or “goo” that everyone seems to hate, so we love this machine! You may ask, “How does it work?” Well, to sum it up, when you are getting your exam the staff will take the hand-held wand from the iTero Scanner and essentially take 3D images of your teeth and soft tissue structures. The process is radiation free using a laser on the wand and it takes two to three minutes. This piece of technology is very modern and takes on the role of many things’ patients despised when coming for a visit.
Panoramic Imaging System
Ever heard your dentist ask for a “pano?” Well, this is where it comes from! Our Panoramic Imaging System is our way of taking a 2D image of your teeth, or an x-ray. While the iTero Scanner gives us a 3D picture of each tooth, the Panoramic Imaging System shows us the typical black and white x-ray films you may already know about. These images show us for any decay, bone abnormalities, fractures, impacted teeth, infections, tumors, and much more, allowing for a more thorough exam so our dentists may better understand what is going on in your mouth.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Our Intra-Oral Cameras is our alternative to a mirror. When you are in your exam, dentists typically use a two-sided mirror around all your teeth to see for themselves an up-close view. The Intra-Oral Camera takes the place of the mirror to show a digital image of your teeth on one of our computer screens, so you can see as well! It is a small, compact wand that looks like any other dental instrument, expect it is digital. This tool makes patients more comfortable and understanding of their own teeth in real time.
CareStack
CareStack is our newest technology Green Leaf Dental Care has adapted. It is an easy and convenient software for patients and staff to access. The best part of this software is the new patient portal feature. This advanced technology allows patients to schedule their appointments online, view their records and treatment plans, pay online, and fill out all our forms digitally. Also, through CareStack we now have a curbside check in function to avoid waiting in the waiting area. To access your portal, check your email for the invitation or call our office at (636) 671-0102 and our staff will point you in the right direction to get to the portal.
